Leak forces Abbeville students to return home

ABBEVILLE, Alabama (WTVY) – Abbeville Public School students went home after less than an hour of classes Thursday.

“Due to a significant water leak at Abbeville High School, all schools in Abbeville will close at 9:00 a.m. today,” the school said in a statement. “Buses will begin picking up students at 9:00 a.m.”

The school gave the students packed lunches to take home.

Classes are expected to resume on Friday.

The school administration did not provide any further information about the leak in its Facebook post.
