Local United Way hosts kickoff dinner | Local News

“The luncheon is a fun way to build momentum for the campaign,” said Aaron Montemayor, executive director of the United Way of the Greater Tri-County Area.

Last year's campaign barely reached its $400,000 goal, with about $375,000 donated to the United Way. Montemayor said he hopes to get even closer this year.

United Way provides resources to support over 15 agencies to provide the community with needed services, and the local office serves all of Bell and Coryell County, as well as Lampasas County.

These services include addressing food shortages, providing shelter, and even supporting students in the local community.
