Donald Trump falsely claimed to be endorsed by Taylor Swift after re-sharing footage altered using AI.

The presidential election campaign is already gaining momentum, with polls still months away – Republican candidate Donald Trump has started the election campaign, the Democrats are behind Kamala Harris.

Somewhat bizarrely, Donald Trump seemingly claimed Taylor Swift's endorsement by publishing a confusing post on his social media platform Truth Social.

The AI-edited images seemed to suggest that Taylor Swift – and her legion of fans – wanted people to vote for Trump.

Fans were angry and many demanded that Taylor Swift take legal action against the politician.

Ironically, Taylor Swift was initially criticized for slowness in condemning Donald Trump – she grew up in a country music scene that was shaped by the ostracism of the Chicks (then Dixie Chicks) as a result of their resistance to the Second Gulf War.

However, Taylor increasingly condemned the Republican politician and criticized him for his response to the nationwide protests in America following the death of George Floyd at the hands of the police.

She wrote at that time: “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? 'When the looting starts, the shooting starts'??? We're going to vote you out in November.”

Taylor also criticized Donald Trump during the USPS scandal: “Donald Trump's ineffective leadership has greatly exacerbated the crisis we are in, and he is now exploiting it to undermine and destroy our right to vote and to vote safely. Request a ballot early. Vote early.”

In short, she would never have supported the Republican candidate.

Taylor Swift is currently in the UK, finishing her epic performance at London’s Wembley Stadium.
