ATTENTION: Rt. 1 closed in both directions due to flooding north of the IR bridge

Route 1 southbound is closed at Tower Road south of Dewey Beach due to water overflowing from the northbound lanes. Route 1 northbound remains closed at Fred Hudson Road north of Bethany Beach due to sea flooding through a dune gap on the north side of the Indian River Inlet Bridge. Closures will remain in place until water recedes and the road is cleared.
