The Tennessee Titans offensive line is taking shape

0

The Tennessee Titans spent most of the 2024 offseason revamping their offensive line after a dismal performance in 2023. The Titans attacked free agency by signing center Lloyd Cushenberry and then Alabama tackle JC Latham with the number 7 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

In the middle of training camp, the new offensive line is slowly taking shape. The planned left side of the offensive line seems to be set, with Latham and Peter Skoronski, the 2023 first-round pick, at the pivot alongside Cushenberry. The right side is more of a question mark.

The team attempted to address the right guard position by signing veteran Saahdiq Charles as a free agent. After opening training camp as the right guard in the Titans' first unofficial roster, the 25-year-old Charles abruptly resigned and was subsequently placed on the reserve/retired list. Now, after two preseason games, the right side is coming into focus. During his press conference, head coach Brian Callahan gave this update:

Nicholas Petit-Frere, who opened training camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, is trying to stabilize the right tackle position after enduring a disappointing 2023 season. In addition to him, the team has turned to Dillon Radunz, a former second-round pick with guard and tackle experience to replace Charles. According to Callahan, Radunz and Petit-Frere have started to separate themselves from the competition and at this point appear to be the starters for the season finale and possibly the season opener as well.
