Video shows a speeding car crashing into a pickup truck at the Mission Hills intersection, causing a fiery crash

MISSION HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Two people were hospitalized after a fire accident in Mission Hills; the horrific sight was captured on video.

It happened around 5 p.m. Saturday at Lassen Street and Sepulveda Boulevard.

The video shows the driver of a white sedan driving at high speed before crashing into a pickup truck turning left. A fire breaks out shortly after the accident.

The driver of the white car suffered serious injuries. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries, police said. Both drivers were taken to a local hospital.

Police say speed played a role, but there is no evidence that the driver of the white car was under the influence of alcohol.
