Authorities respond to 15-alarm building fire in Butler, Tennessee

BUTLER, Tenn. (WJHL) – More than a dozen emergency crews responded to a 15-alarm structure fire in Butler Township on Sunday, according to a social media post from Carter County 911.

According to the post, motorists are being urged to be cautious because of the fire and to yield to emergency personnel on Highway 321 near the old Shirley's Restaurant and Jim Duffield Road.

As of 3:10 p.m., 15 local crews, including volunteer firefighters from Johnson, Sullivan and Carter counties, were on scene battling the fire. No information was provided on whether the building was occupied.
