DC Council Member Trayon White Arrested by FBI, Chairman Confirmed

WASHINGTON – DC Council Chairman Phil Mendelson confirmed that Council Member Trayon White was arrested by the FBI on Sunday afternoon.

Mendelson told FOX 5 he was unaware he was even under investigation and was still waiting to learn more about the charges and the exact location of his arrest.

“I'm looking forward to more details to understand the situation,” Mendelson told FOX 5. “You all know as much as I do.”

FOX 5 is working to find out the details of the arrest and the charges White faces.

White is a committed advocate for public safety in DC. He is in charge of District 8, which has a high crime rate.
