Slight cooling trend predicted for this week in Riverside County

Riverside County is expected to cool slightly in the second half of this week, meteorologists said Sunday, but highs in some areas will still be above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

“Maximum temperatures are expected to begin falling as early as Wednesday, with a cooling trend expected through Friday,” the National Weather Service said.

Highs on Sunday reached 93 degrees in the Riverside area, 89 degrees in the Temecula Valley and 106 degrees in the Coachella Valley.
