Olathe man arrested on suspicion of cocaine trafficking in Osage County

An Olathe man faces drug trafficking charges following his arrest Saturday in Osage County.

Sheriff Chris Wells says the arrest of 31-year-old Jason Self came after a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 75 outside of Carbondale just before 5 p.m. Saturday. Wells says an unspecified amount of illegal narcotics was found during the stop.

Self was arrested on suspicion of trafficking cocaine, possession of paraphernalia, transporting an open container of alcohol and driving without a license. He was also arrested on an unspecified warrant.

Formal charges are still pending.
