Star Rail 2.5 leaks: The true identity of this 4-star character hints at something bigger

0

Summary

  • Moze's true identity may be revealed in Honkai: Star Rail 2.5, leading to the release of a new 5-star character.
  • Previous character releases suggest that stronger versions, like 5-star Dan Heng, could follow HoYoverse's plans for Moze.
  • Changes to older characters, such as those on March 7, show the developer's intention to introduce new versions with different gameplay kits.

I am absolutely convinced that the new leaks about Moze’s true identity revelation in Honkai: Star Trail 2.5 hint at a much bigger consequence that could even be beneficial for us players. Right now, developer HoYoverse's popular turn-based RPG is in the midst of version 2.4, a patch that distances itself from the Penacony story and reverts the Xianzhou Luofu for a brand new story arc revolving around the Wardance Festival and Hoolay, a notorious prisoner in the Shackling Prison – who is expected to be a boss in Honkai: Star Trail 2.5.

This article may contain major spoilers about the game's current plot and future events.

Although version 2.5 is still a few weeks away, some details have already been confirmed. Three characters that were already introduced as NPCs in the current patch will become playable. Moze will be an upcoming 4-star unit, while Feixiao and Lingsha will be the next 5-star characters. Their leaked gameplay kits will be confirmed during the upcoming version 2.5 livestream, although players can already see Feixiao's materials in Honkai: Star Trail. Aside from the playable aspect, there was also a major story leak that could hint at an unexpected plot twist and possibly even the release of a future 5-star character.

Rumor has it that the 4-star character is just a disguise

According to new information from leakers from Team Mew, which was then posted in a post tagged “Very questionable” on Reddit, Moze's true identity may be revealed at the end of the story missions in version 2.5.. The leak states that Moze reveals his true form even though the full body model is not shown to players. In addition, the leak states that Feixiao is aware of his true form. As revealed by the leak, Moze is just a disguise for Caelorum Venti, known as the Vidyadhara High Elder of the Xianzhou Yaoqing Ship.

Honkai: Star Trail
In the readable articles, Caelorum Venti is also referred to as the successor of the Winged Dragon and Lord of Storms, as registered in Honkai: Star Rail Fandom.

Moze's true identity could hint at a new character in Honkai: Star Rail

Caelorum Venti could be a future 5-star character

Honkai Star Rails Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae forms using an ability during the Phantylia boss fight by summoning a dragon.

If Moze is truly just a disguise for Caelorum Venti, then the character himself is much stronger than he pretends to be. As a High Elder, Caelorum Venti's rank is equivalent to that of Imbibitor Lunae of the Luofu. High Elders not only have significant reputations, but often wield almost unparalleled power. This could mean that Moze was holding back his power during story quests. A 4-star status does not correspond to what a High Elder is capable ofand that is why I am convinced that Moze’s true identity will lead to a new character in Honkai: Star Trail.

If the leak is true and Moze is Caelorum Venti, a 4-star unit representing him would not be enough. In fact I believe Caelorum Venti will be released as a future 5-star characternow without the disguise of Moze. This would also mean that the character would be much more powerful and his abilities would reflect those of a High Elder. Given Caelorum Venti's status as Lord of Storms, it is quite possible that he will be a Wind character – and the lightning aspect of his abilities was created by Moze's elemental type in Honkai: Star Trail.

It is difficult to predict Caelorum Venti's path. While the Xianzhou Alliance follows the hunt, Imbibitor Lunae himself and the General Arbiter Jing Yuan follow destruction and scholarship respectively.

Honkai: Star Rail 2.5's new leaked banner type might not be so bad after all

New rumors about the new leaked banner in Honkai: Star Rail suggest that it will be released in version 2.5 and may not be as bad as originally predicted.

Honkai: Star Rail's previous releases show an intention to bring the same characters even more to the forefront

Leaks about the future also suggest that characters will return with new paths

Previous in-game releases and leaks about HoYover's plans for some older characters lend credence to the idea that Moze could receive a new playable form in the future after he was rumored to be revealed as Caelorum Venti. Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae is the best example of this. Dan Heng is a basic 4-star character that players naturally receive in the first few hours of the game. Although he is strong in his own right, his true identity as the heir to the title Imbibitor Lunae is in Honkai: Star Trail means that he has much more power than originally demonstrated.

Thus, Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae was released, a 5-star version of the regular Dan Heng. Imbibitor Lunae swaps his wind damage for imaginary damage and changes his path from hunting to destruction. He is the true form of Dan Heng. Although he still retains many design elements similar to the 4-star unit, This 5-star character is much more powerful and offers a completely different gameplay kitalthough he still focuses on damaging opponents. A similar approach to Moze's true identity could be Honkai: Star Trail's calendar for the upcoming character release.

The playable version of Sunday in Honkai: Star Rail could be released much sooner than originally expected, according to a brand new leak.

In addition, HoYoverse has stated its intention to develop new versions for already existing characters. Most recently, March 7th received her new Hunt form. March 7th (Hunt) is a damage dealer who uses imaginary damage and follows the Path of Hunt, as opposed to her original form as a Shield Bearer who deals ice damage and follows the Path of Preservation. This is the same character, but with a completely different kit. However, March 7th (Hunt) retains her 4-star rarity while switching between the paths she follows. Despite this, it shows the developer's attention to an existing character in the game.

In addition, there were leaks about future character releases in the game. There were leaks about a path switch system in Honkai: Star Trail in the future, similar to what's available for Trailblazer and March 7th, but applied to several other older characters. The leak states that older characters like Kafka will be re-released under a new item and path, and that players who already own them will be able to switch between these different gameplay kits. However, given his reputation, a possible release of Caelorum Venti seems out of the question..

It is more likely that if the leak is true and Caelorum Venti is ever released, he will follow the release schedule of Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae. Of course, the leak itself should be taken with caution as it may be wrong or change. Nevertheless, it makes me believe that we will continue to get stronger characters whose powers are almost immeasurable, such as the Emanator of Nihility Acheron in Honkai: Star Trail beginning of the year.
