Expected starting eleven of Rennes against Lyon: Newly formed team starts the new Ligue 1 season

The Stade Rennais team is almost unrecognisable compared to the one that finished so poorly last season. For the first time in seven years without European football, many big names have left the club, including Désiré Doué, Martin Terrier and Arthur Theate. The Rennais had to recruit a lot of personnel and many of their new players are expected to face Olympique Lyonnais at Roazhon Park on Sunday evening.

Rennes will be without Arnaud Kalimuendo. The French youth international could be on the bench but is unlikely to start due to a minor knee injury. In his absence, Ludovic Blas and Amine Gouiri are expected to lead Julien Stéphan's team. SRFC has no other major injury concerns.
