“PDA Se Adhikar Chinna Chahte…”, Akhilesh Yadav accuses BJP of conspiring against the country and calls for a nationwide movement

Akhilesh Yadav: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in a statement has accused the BJP of running a grand conspiracy to weaken the democratic foundation of the country. He alleges that the ruling party is using the UPSC as a backdoor to subtly induct its ideological followers into positions of power within the government. Yadav warns that this action not only jeopardises the prospects of the incumbent officials but also the aspirations of the youngsters aiming for higher positions. He has urged people across the country to unite to protest against this alleged conspiracy and stressed the need for a national movement that will begin on October 2.

Akhilesh Yadav accuses BJP of conspiracy against merit and reservation

According to Akhilesh Yadav, the quota system and the rights of marginalised communities – particularly the PDA, an umbrella term for subordinate classes, Dalits and other marginalised groups – are under direct attack by the BJP's efforts. He noted, “Daraasal, saari chaal PDA se aarakshan aur unke adhikaar chheenne ki hai.” He claims that the BJP is currently trying to bypass the reserve role by actively seeking people who share its beliefs, aware that these groups are increasingly opposed to its policies. He claims that as a result, the general public will only have access to menial jobs such as clerks and stooges, but not to the highest levels of government.

The threat to the national interest

Yadav urged the BJP government to immediately withdraw this alleged strategy as it was not in the national interest. He believes that filling key government positions with ideologically aligned individuals would lead to biased governance in which the civil servants who owe their positions to the government would lack impartiality. Such a scenario, he warns, would undermine the integrity of the civil service and ultimately harm the nation.

Call for a nationwide movement

Akhilesh Yadav has called on government officials and young people across the country to join him in a nationwide demonstration to begin on October 2 in response to this perceived threat. He is calling on the public to resist what he sees as a corporate takeover of the political apparatus, motivated by the capitalist principle that profit comes before people. Akhilesh Yadav compares this to his party's socialist theory, which gives higher priority to the welfare of small business owners, workers, farmers and the poor.
