Venezuelans protest worldwide against the result of the presidential elections

0

Thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets in Venezuela to protest against Nicolás Maduro’s controversial victory in the country’s recent elections.

María Corina Machado, the opposition leader, even attended a rally and told her supporters: “We will not leave the streets.”

Maduro has led Venezuela since 2013 and claimed to have won the 2024 elections with 52 percent of the vote, but he has since refused to release details of the election results, sparking suspicion among his critics.

Further protests took place across Europe and even in Britain.
