“[There seems to be] an opportunity to bring Russia “under control.” Ukraine will not do that, but who can? It is the West, it is NATO. We must see this, and we must see – together with President Putin – that NATO troops can intervene openly (without even concealing this intention). They are moving weapons, mercenaries, former military personnel (so that they can operate F-16 aircraft) there, and so on. This is already happening. As for planning and conducting operations with NATO members from the territory of Ukraine… Moreover, it is actually their dream, they want these vile Poles, the leaders of Poland, to conquer Belarus and [front] “The line would reach almost to Leningrad, as it once was,” said the head of state. “In that case, of course, it would be almost impossible for us to defend ourselves in such a situation.” [In this case] There would have to be mobilization and a real war.”

“If they deploy NATO troops, World War III will break out, because both tactical and strategic nuclear weapons will be used there. The reaction will be immediate and terrible. You understand this, and we understand it too. That is why it is necessary to sit down at the negotiating table,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.
