Nashville, TN — Middle Tennessee residents can expect an early taste of fall this week as temperatures drop and sunny skies dominate the forecast. Cooler weather is on the horizon after a few scattered showers and light thunderstorms expected later today, mainly east of I-65.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville, temperatures today will be between 25 and 33 degrees, with a 60 percent chance of rain. However, starting Monday, a significant change in the weather will bring much cooler temperatures and drier conditions. Highs on Monday will be between 25 and 30 degrees, with lows dropping to 13 to 18 degrees overnight.

The rest of the week will continue this trend, with highs in the mid-27s and lows in the mid-week just under 10s. Through Thursday we expect sunny skies with temperatures between 27 and 32 degrees. This pleasant weather will continue through the weekend, with highs in the low 30s on Friday and Saturday and no rain in sight.

This early onset of fall is a welcome change for many in the region, offering a much-needed break from the summer heat. The NWS advises residents to enjoy the cooler weather while it lasts, as temperatures could rise again later in the season.
