Police: Stabbing in Albany near Delaware Street under investigation

Albany police say they are investigating a stabbing that occurred Friday afternoon in the area between Delaware Avenue and Beekman Street.

Albany Medical Center staff notified police around 3:50 p.m. that a 25-year-old man had been admitted to the emergency room with stab wounds to his back and leg.

Police investigations assume that there was an argument between the victim and the suspect, as a result of which the suspect stabbed the victim.

The victim is being treated at Albany Medical Center, where his condition is stable.
