This includes significantly reducing the download size of the files. The brand has taken several steps to reduce the size, including a mix of splitting current downloads into selectable chunks and using new techniques to reduce download size. The result is a saving of hundreds of GB.

The most noticeable difference is the removal of Call of Duty: Warzone from annual downloads. This means users have the option to download individual parts as they wish and come back later to download others when they need them.

In addition, the brand is increasingly using texture streaming technology, which reduces file size during download by moving content that is used less frequently by users into a streaming cache.
