The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the recruitment examinations for various posts on August 3, 10 and 11, 2024. The board then released scanned versions of the OMR answer sheets and answer keys on its official website cbse.gov.in.

Candidates who have cleared the exam can now access their OMR answer sheets and answer key and get a scanned copy of them.

“All the candidates who appeared in the recruitment examination for various posts under the Central Board of Secondary Examination on 03.08.2024, 10.08.2024 and 11.08.2024 are informed that the scanned images of their OMR answer sheets and answer keys will be uploaded on the website on 17.08.2024. The candidates can see or download the scanned image of their OMR sheet by logging on to the above mentioned website. The candidates can also see the answer keys of these question papers on the website,” the official notification said.

How can I object to the answer key?

Candidates will also be given an opportunity to raise objections against the answer keys. They have until 20 August 2024, 23:59 to raise objections against the answer keys through the URL on the website if they are not satisfied with any of them.

To challenge the answer key, a candidate has to pay an amount of Rs.1000 per question through credit or debit card. After payment, there will be no refund of the fee as stated by the board.

“Challenges to answer keys will only be accepted via the above-mentioned procedure. Challenges to answer keys submitted by any other means, such as email, post or in person, will not be accepted,” the statement continues.

Who checks the challenges?

If the Board accepts the appeal, that is, if the subject matter experts find errors in the answer key, a policy decision will be communicated and the costs will be refunded.

“The refund (if any) will be transferred online to the concerned credit/debit card account. Candidates are therefore advised to pay using their own credit/debit card. The decision of the panel on the appeals will be final and no further communication will be made,” the statement added.

The final answer key and results of the above mentioned entrance examination are expected to be released by the CBSE soon.
