Utah's citizens are on the list of the most stressed people

0

Utah is a stressed state, and given the state of the world, that's really no surprise.

In 2022, William Russell conducted a study on the most polluted places in the world. It compiled a list of the most to least polluted US states. Factors such as cost of living, air quality, landfills, suicide rates, and LGBTQ+ population density were included in the ranking. Utah ranked 9th among the most polluted states.

This is the highest on the list of 50 states. Out of 10, Utah scored 5.86 for stress.

Many of the things that stress people out in Utah, like air quality and landfills, aren't easily fixed. Of course, you can (and should) limit car use, but the reality is that not everyone can do that.

So focus on things you can change right now and relax a little. This week is the perfect time to do it, as August 15 is National Relaxation Day.

Utah and everyone else in the world is experiencing the stress of technology, world problems, and life as it is. However, worrying causes double the pain and most of the time doesn't help.

So go for a hike in a state park in Utah, turn off your cell phone for a few hours, or just turn off notifications.

The constant barrage of news can drive anyone crazy, so get out there and live life away from your hectic daily routine. That might mean reading a book, trying a new restaurant, hanging out with friends, or lounging in front of the TV.

The point is, Utah could work on its stress levels, and probably you could too. The holidays are starting soon, and busy family life will take over. Take this opportunity to relax and feel like yourself again.
