Trinamul rallies across the state shed light on conspiracy

0

Trinamul Congress supporters today held demonstrations across the state, highlighting the Left-BJP conspiracy to bring disrepute to Bengal and threatening death penalty to the volunteer arrested recently in connection with the alleged rape and murder of a doctor of RG Medical College and Hospital.

Trinamul Congress leader Mamata Banerjee on Friday announced that there would be demonstrations across the country from 2 pm to 4 pm today. On Sunday, party workers will demonstrate from 10 am to 6 pm demanding death penalty for the main accused. On Monday, the day of Raksha Bandhan, girls will tie rakhis on the wrists of boys and boys will swear to rescue the girls if they get into trouble.

Trinamul Congress leaders alleged that the CPM was in cahoots with the BJP to defame Bengal. The CPM is creating trouble and chaos and the BJP is uploading stories on social media that are far from reality.

Trinamul Congress leaders alleged that SFI and DYFI supporters went to RG Medical College and Hospital and ransacked the hospital. Trinamul leaders said, “Now they are demanding Mamata Banerjee's resignation and how many times Jyoti Basu resigned after the brutal murder of 17 monks and nuns of Ananda Marga in broad daylight. Did Basu resign after the brutal rape and murder of a state government employee in Bantala? The small children jumping around should ask their elders about the party's gruesome past before making such demands,” they said.

The politicians said some YouTubers had gone too far and uploaded false reports just to instigate people. The police were keeping an eye on all of them, they said. The politicians asked the junior doctors to resume their duties as poor people were coming to the government hospitals and their treatment was being severely affected.

They came down heavily on the BJP, saying that the party is trying all kinds of tricks to denigrate Bengal after its defeat to the Trinamul Congress in the 2021 assembly elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Party leaders should focus on Uttarakhand, where a nurse was allegedly raped and murdered.
