SDC stresses the importance of strengthening national dialogue

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote national dialogue, the Syrian Democratic Council in the Netherlands hosted a political dialogue symposium entitled “Developments in the current situation and prospects for the future,” which was attended by a group of Syrian political activists and academics and was also attended by Dr. Razkar Qassim, the Council’s representative in Germany.

The Council's representative in the Netherlands, Majid Karo, reviewed the Council's project to unite Syrian forces. The discussion focused on an assessment of the current political situation in Syria and stressed the need to find a Syrian solution without external intervention.

Dr. Razkar Qassim presented the Council's vision for a common national approach and stressed the importance of national unity as a way to end the crisis. Politician Zaradasht also addressed the Kurdish issue and stressed the need to find a just solution to it within the framework of a united Syrian state and a decentralized system.

Participants stressed the importance of Syrian-Syrian dialogue to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable solution.

The event concluded with recommendations to strengthen national dialogue and support Council initiatives.

This symposium is part of a series of efforts by the Syrian Democratic Council to strengthen cooperation among the various Syrian political forces in the pursuit of stability and an end to the suffering of the Syrian people.
