Jennifer Lopez makes “Demure” trend video – and Jools Lebron reacts

Jenny from the Block joins the “restrained” movement!

Ever since TikToker Jools Lebron detailed how she gets ready for work in a “modest” and “mindful” way, videos imitating the influencer have been popping up on social media – and Jennifer Lopez has simply jumped on the trend.

In a video posted to her TikTok and Instagram accounts on Friday, August 16, the 55-year-old singer and actress showed her take on the low-key theme, incorporating her cocktail brand Delola.

“See how I do it when I drink from the bottle? Very cautiously,” she says to the camera before lifting a bottle of Delola L'Orange Spritz to take a small sip. “Very carefully. I don't just gulp it down, I just don't drink it… all the way down,” she continues, gesturing as if she were taking a big gulp.

Rather, she says, she enjoys the drink in a way that would make Lebron – “Miss Demure” herself – proud. “Little by little,” she says to the camera. “Elegantly. Swelling. Modestly. Mindfully.”

Lebron shared her reaction to Lopez's video on TikTok on Saturday, August 17, writing over the singer's clip, “JLO from the low key block??”.

In the video, LeBron stands with his mouth open, seemingly shocked that Lopez created a “chaste” video. “I can't lie because as a blonde Puerto Rican, this shuts me up,” she wrote in the caption.

Lopez isn't the only star to embrace a “modest” lifestyle lately. Olivia Rodrigo, Bebe Rexha, SZA, Rumer Willis and Lizzo have joined the trend, which has even made its way into the White House.

On August 13, Lizzo shared a clip of herself and SZA being very “sweet” and “chaste” on Instagram. Days later, on August 15, Rodrigo shared a backstage TikTok video of himself backing vocals to one of LeBron's “chaste” audios, and the next day, Rexha did the same.

Even President Joe Biden jumped on the trend, sharing a “chaste” post from the official White House Instagram account.

“Nearly 5 million Americans will have their student debt canceled through a variety of measures. Very sensitive. Very low-key,” the August 16 post said.
