AccuWeather Meteorologists said much of the northeast had been dry for nearly a week after Debby unleashed torrential rains that caused flash flooding and rising water levels in some rivers in the region.

“Flash flooding may still occur in small streams and urban areas where it rains for a few hours,” AccuWeather Senior meteorologist Dan Pydynowski said: “But such conditions would remain more localized.”
