Former MrBeast employee claims he refused $190,000 payment and apology

Jake Weddle, one of the former MrBeast employees who made allegations against the inventor, claimed that Jimmy apologized to him and offered him $190,000, but he declined and made a counter offer.

MrBeast has not spoken publicly since these allegations against him surfaced, but several people who worked with him in the past claim to have spoken to him since then. Weddle is now another of the creators on this list.

He showed in his video a text with Jimmy that reads as follows:

“Hey, I wanted to reach out and say that I didn't mean to mentally distress you with this video and I'm sorry. It obviously affected you. You mentioned that you would like to be paid the rest of the prize money (the other $190,000) and I would like to clear that up with you.

“I do NOT expect you to mention that I sent you this money or remove videos. I just want to help and make sure you are OK.”

MrBeast then asked for his bank details to see where he could send the money, but Weddle claimed he declined the full $190,000.

“The personal apology, the personal conversation – there were no lawyers there, were there? There was no camera pointed in my face… I respected that. That's how I would have wanted it. But I couldn't stand it, I just couldn't stand it. It's still a mechanism of the game, it's still about the rest of the prize money. That's not what this is about.”

However, Weddle was torn, claiming he needed the money, so he talked to MrBeast and agreed on $50,000, enough money to pay some important bills and pay off his student loans.

And although the former employee appreciated the apology given to him and took as much money as he felt was “reasonable,” he felt the YouTuber still had a lot to answer for.

He also criticized Jimmy's “business model,” claiming that his method of producing viral videos by filming people and offering them money for completing challenges was unhealthy.

Weddle confirmed claims made by Ludwig and other past YouTubers that a third video with “even more serious allegations” against him would be coming from Dogpack, the YouTuber who brought many of the allegations against MrBeast to light.
