Students across Essex collected their A-Level results today.

After months of hard work and taking exams, today is the day when students find out how they did and what their next steps are.

As national figures show, the proportion of 2024 high school graduates receiving top grades has increased compared to last year and remains above pre-pandemic levels.

Hundreds of thousands of students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland received their exam results on Thursday in a year in which grades in all three countries were expected to return to 2019 levels.

More than a quarter (27.8 percent) of entries from the UK were given an A or A* grade, an increase of 0.6 percentage points from the previous year, when 27.2 percent achieved the top grade.

Across the country, hundreds of excited students will be collecting their results today, and if you are one of them, we want to hear from you.
