Lions vs. Chiefs – Live score update, highlights, injury news

0

Both the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs are hoping to win the championship in 2024. The Chiefs are looking for that elusive third straight win. Believe it or not, winning three Super Bowl titles in a row has never happened, but the Chiefs will certainly get their chance this year.

For the Lions, this is their first season with realistic Super Bowl expectations in at least 30 years. Last season, they won two playoff games for the first time in the Super Bowl era and were 30 minutes away from their first championship appearance in nearly 70 years. With a roster that looks even better this year, the Lions are a serious contender.

Of course, the friendly between the two teams on Saturday will have no bearing on either team's quest for glory. The game is not important and both teams are looking to achieve very different things on the field.

The Chiefs hope to get their core players ready for the season, as coach Andy Reid plans to have his core players play the entire first half. The Lions, on the other hand, are resting their injured team and will instead use Saturday afternoon as a gauge of the team's depth.
