The Steelers suffered a 20-12 loss to the Houston Texans in their NFL season opener. Kyle Allen played most of the game at quarterback, but Justin Fields completed 5 of 6 passes for 67 yards and three runs for two yards. The experienced Russell Wilson is expected to start against the Bills and continue to try to secure the starting spot.

The Bills didn't offer much resistance in their first preseason game in a 33-6 loss to the Chicago Bears, but they also gave most of their key players, including quarterback Josh Allen, little playing time. The Bears sealed the deal with a 20-point quarterfinal, and the Bills went back to the drawing board before facing a matchup of top cold-weather contenders.
