Man convicted of sex crimes in Maryland admits possession and distribution of child pornography: Federal authorities

Chad Christopher Langgle, 30, of Hagerstown, who was recently convicted of sex offenses in southern Maryland, pleaded guilty Friday to possession of child pornography.

According to his confession, Langgle emailed more than 50 videos of child pornography in December 2022. He was also caught having images of child pornography on his phone and additional videos were stored on his account.

Langgle had previously been convicted of sexual abuse of a minor and second-degree assault on a minor in the Circuit Court for Calvert County and of a second-degree sexual offense in the Circuit Court for St. Mary's County.

When sentenced in October, Langgle faces a minimum of ten and a maximum of twenty years in prison, followed by life probation.
