Converse Chuck 70 Gore Tex Release Date

0

The Converse Chuck 70 has worn many hats in its 100-year history. Since Chuck devotees refuse to take them off even in the harshest climates, the company is helping them alleviate those problems. For the upcoming season, Gore-Tex is being grafted onto the old-school silhouette in two new colorways.

This isn't the first time the durable fabric has graced the vintage basketball shoe's silhouette. Winter collections over the past few years have featured this redesign fairly regularly. Much like Converse's work with CDG, the main attraction is how the additional branding has been worked into the timeless design. Here, Gore-Tex is seen on the rubber foxing that runs across the entire silhouette, another iteration of previous shoes where it's applied diagonally on the heel, oversized on the sidewall, or on additional pull tabs, to name a few examples.

Both looks offered here come in three colors, with the textile upper featuring black and olive throughout and the sole unit underfoot in off-white. Both shoes feature an additional accent color on the All Star emblem and select details; black on the green shoe and dark brown on the black.

The Converse Chuck 70 Gore-Tex is now available in some European stores, but a wide U.S. launch has not been announced yet. For now, check out the official images included directly below.
