Day 1 of Craig Jones Invitation (CJI) is officially in the books… and it was a blast. Besides the big upset between Victor Hugo and Lucas Kanard (more on that here), there was also an extracurricular activity in the audience from top-ranked UFC bantamweight contender Merab Dvalishvili (video here).

I can't wait to see what's coming Day 2.

Day 2 of the CJI will overlap with Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) 2024 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, which will see the return of Gordon Ryan, and the pay-per-view (PPV) UFC 305: “Du Plessis vs. Adesanya” at RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia. In short, it's a great night for combat sports fans.
