Identity of naked body found floating in Baxter County creek revealed

Baxter County, Arkansas. – On August 15, 2024, shortly after 8:00 a.m., the Baxter County Sheriff's Office received a call from a motorist about a naked body floating down Moccasin Creek.

The Baxter County Sheriff's Office just released an update on the identity of the deceased man. After a fingerprint scan, the man was determined to be 50-year-old Rickey Joe Millsap of Mountain Home. The circumstances of Millsap's death remain under investigation.

In the original press release, the sheriff's office stated that officers and others on scene saw a naked, decomposing body floating in the creek. They searched residences in the area but were unable to find any information. Mountain Home police were also on scene with a drone that flew over the area to look for evidence but found none.

They are trying to find out whether the death was an accident or whether there were other motives behind it.
