Johnny Walker declares he will become UFC champion despite recent setbacks

UFC fighter Johnny Walker still believes he can become a world champion despite some of his recent setbacks.

Walker has suffered a number of setbacks in the Octagon over the past few years, but after four losses in five matches, he rebounded with three consecutive wins over Ion Cutelaba, Paul Craig and Anthony Smith.

From then on, however, things went downhill. After a no-contest against Magomed Ankalaev, he clearly lost the rematch before being knocked out by Volkan Oezdemir at the beginning of the summer.

At this point, there are big question marks about his future and whether he is good enough to compete at light heavyweight. He is experienced and explosive, but he hasn't really shown that side of him consistently in his last few fights.

In a statement posted on social mediaWalker has announced his intentions.
