Police arrest ATV driver after accident for drunk driving

An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) driver was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving following an accident in Bristol Township on Friday evening.

Bristol Township Police responded to an accident at 5:21 p.m. after receiving reports of an overturned ATV along Newportville Road near Lower Road.

Sergeant Jason Mancuso said officers and a paramedic crew arrived at the scene.

The driver allegedly refused medical treatment at the scene of the accident, Mancuso said.

According to authorities, no other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The section of Newportville Road was temporarily closed to traffic due to the accident.
