The Jets and Panthers clash on Saturday caps off a competitive week of football in Charlotte. During joint practice sessions, Garrett Wilson was able to get off relatively easily, Panthers wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. had an excellent performance, Bryce Young had little trouble with the Jets' defense and the Panthers' defense made life difficult for Aaron Rodgers.

Although neither Rodgers nor Young are expected to play, both teams hope to lay a foundation for the regular season.

The Jets will look to build on their positive performance in their first game of the season, a 20-17 win over the Commanders. Rookies Malachi Corley (four catches for 27 yards) and Braelon Allen (six carries for 54 yards) contributed well in their first professional appearances.

The Panthers will look to improve on their 17-3 loss to New England last week. As the Dave Canales era begins, health and unity are top priorities for Carolina.
