According to police, a fugitive was arrested in Mount Dora for attempted murder

MOUNT DORA, Florida. – A 19-year-old man was arrested in Mount Dora by U.S. Marshals Service agents on a warrant for attempted murder, police said.

Ja 'Quan Turner was described in a press release as a fugitive because there was a warrant out for his arrest since August 2023.

The arrest warrant against Turner includes charges of shooting at an occupied vehicle, possession of a weapon by a felon and two counts of attempted murder with a firearm, the press release said.

Turner was arrested Friday and his bail was set at $80,000, records show.
