Tingyun Path details and release date leaked

A new Honkai: Star Trail Leak has revealed more information about a new form of the popular four-star character Tingyun. Honkai: Star Trail has established a pattern where each update adds at least two new playable characters, spread across the update's two banner cycles.

As Honkai: Star TrailThe list grows with each update, HoYoverse features more frequent banner reruns. The current version 2.4 has introduced Destruction user Yunli, whose banner is set to expire on August 21st. The second banner phase will feature Nihility character Jiaoqiu.

While the release of a new main character seems to be the main focus of every update, many players seem to be even more excited when an older Honkai: Star Trail Character gets a new form. Apart from the different paths of the Trailblazer, Honkai: Star Trail has already added two revamped versions of existing characters: Dan Heng and March 7th. A credible leaker named Team Mew has revealed additional details about the previously rumored form for Tingyun. The leak suggests that the new version of Tingyun will have a five-star rarity and follow the path of Nihility. This strongly suggests that Tingyun's Nihility version will be introduced as a new five-star character.

Honkai: Star Rail leak hints at Tingyun's new form and release date

Honkai: Star TrailThe official storyline has revealed that Tingyun is a young Foxian and the vessel of Lord Ravager, one of the main antagonists in the game. Many unknowns still surround this mysterious character, but most of them will likely be cleared up once she receives a new form. This wouldn't be the first time HoYoverse has released a rework as a new character, as seen when Dan Heng's awakened form Imbibitor Lunae was introduced as a brand new five-star unit.

The leaker also revealed that Tingyun is unlikely to be in Honkai: Star Trail Version 2.6, which is scheduled for release in December 2024. This suggests that HoYoverse still has plenty of time to make adjustments before her official release. Players will have to wait until Tingyun is introduced in a beta phase to get more information on her new form.

The leaker also refuted previous rumors that the popular character Screwllum will be included in Update 2.7. The only confirmed information about Tingyun's release is that she will not be part of the upcoming Honkai: Star Trail Update 2.5 as HoYoverse has already revealed the two five-star characters that will be joining the server. The first part of the update will feature Feixiao, while the second banner cycle will feature Lingsha.
