A train accident occurred between Kanpur and Bhimsen railway stations in Uttar Pradesh. The Sabarmati Express, train number 19168, derailed in a block section between the two stations. The accident occurred when the Sabarmati Express was en route from Kanpur. It derailed just a short distance between Kanpur and Bhimsen railway stations. The train driver stated that initially it appeared that a boulder had hit the locomotive and severely damaged and bent the locomotive's cattle guard, leading to the derailment of the train.
