Ex-boyfriend shot woman in the face and fled, witness tells ABC13

An eyewitness told ABC13 that a woman's ex-boyfriend shot her in the face off the Old Spanish Trail, seriously injuring her.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Houston police believe they know who shot a woman in a neighborhood near Old Spanish Trail Friday night, but have not been able to arrest the suspect.

Police confirmed they were searching for a man believed to be responsible for the shooting in the 2800 block of Renshaw Street in the Gulfgate Riverview/Pine Valley area.

Police told ABC13's Luke Jones that they had been at the scene since about 5 p.m., but could not provide any further details, including the identity of the suspect.

However, a witness claimed that an ex-boyfriend shot the woman in the middle of the street, with the bullet piercing her cheek and exiting her neck. The witness also claimed that the suspect fled in a white Nissan Murano.
