Recently a post in the popular Korean online community Theqoo went viral for pointing out how often tall female idols are accused of lying about their height. The OP (original poster) compiled the following cases:

With a height of 170 cm, Tzuyu is the highest TWICE member. But the idol debuted when she was 168 cm tall. During an appearance on a variety show, she recalled that right at her debut, people didn't want to believe that she was shorter than 170 cm.

No, but the funny thing is that when I debuted I was actually 168 cm tall.

When I said I was 168 cm tall, people replied, “Yep, you’re 170 cm.”

And at the last health check, a height of 170 cm was actually determined.

But now when I say that I am 170 cm tall, people say: “No, you are 172 cm.”

I tell the truth, but people don't believe me.

— Tzuyu

  1. Yujin

While all IVE Members are praised for their impressive size, as the tallest in the group, YujinHer height is often talked about, but she also struggled with people not believing her when she stated her true height in numbers.

I'll leave it to your imagination, but I'm 173 cm tall.”

— Yujin

No matter how many times I checked it in the hospital, it always showed 171 cm.

Because nobody believes me. So I just say I'm 173 cm tall.”

“It’s true, I’m 173 cm tall…

Even if I were 180 cm tall, I would have said it proudly. But I'm not. What can I do?”

LOL, I'm not getting any smaller 🙄.

If I measured my height on video, would you believe me?

Let us now leave the controversy behind us…”
