Under the guidance of trainer Eugene Bareman, Kara-France has made a name for himself with a record of 24 wins and 11 losses in his professional mixed martial arts career. Kara-France started BJJ at the tender age of 10, beginning his journey into the world of martial arts while also completing his studies. However, his love for combat sports drove him to pursue martial arts as a career and he moved to Thailand to train Muay Thai. Eugene Bareman praises “Don't Blink”

Shortly before Kara-France entered the Octagon to fight Brandon Moreno At UFC 277, Bareman appeared in an interview with Combat TV. In it, the head coach of City Kickboxing revealed what motivated “Don't Blink” to switch to mixed martial arts.

Bareman said: “I think Kai has always been a super talented athlete. I think there are super athletes like him in that weight class. Where does a young, athletic, super talented boy go when we live in a world where the sport is predominantly dominated by giants? … What do you do when you're a 50/60 kg super athlete? … You gravitate towards a sport that is dictated by weight classes.”
