The class of 2028 continues Baltimore University's trend of breaking enrollment records for new students. Last year's historic bi-gender freshman class had the second-highest number of new students ever. Move-in day for new students is set for August 23.

“We are thrilled to welcome another group of first-year students beginning their studies at Notre Dame,” said Dr. Marylou Yam, President of Notre Dame of Maryland University. “I am grateful to our admissions team, as well as all of the support staff and faculty members across campus, for their efforts to introduce these students to our close-knit community through the Notre Dame College Tour episode on Amazon Prime and several other initiatives.”

Notre Dame’s class of 2028 includes:

  • Students from 11 countries and 15 states
  • About 76 percent from Maryland
  • 43 percent of students are the first in their family to study

Nearly 33 percent of the new class are student-athletes, including several members of the university's new baseball program, which will begin competitive play in the spring semester of 2025. Notre Dame currently sponsors 12 Division III sports that play in the United East Conference, with men's lacrosse slated to be the 13th addition.th program in the 2025-26 academic year. The $2.2 million renovation of Alumnae Field will be completed in August 2024.
