Release date of “The Veilguard” confirmed in trailer

After several leaks claiming that the Dragon Age: The Veilguard release date BioWare has finally confirmed when the game will be released for PC and consoles with a brand new trailer. The game's release marks almost ten years after the release of the last installment in the franchise, Dragon Age: Inquisition.

What is the release date of Dragon Age: The Veilguard?

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released on October 31, 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. On the same day, EA Play Pro members will be able to access the EA Play Pro Edition via the EA app.

In addition to the new release date, the trailer also gave us a glimpse into the difficulties Rook and his companions face as they battle corrupt elven gods and fight for the future of Thedas. We also received brief confirmation that the Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition of the game are now available to pre-order.

The Standard Edition of the game costs $59.99 on PC or $69.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Deluxe Edition costs $79.99 on PC or $89.99 on PS5 and Xbox and includes a copy of the game plus the following digital extras:

  • 6 weapon appearances for Rook. Cosmetic only.
  • 1 Warrior armor set appearance for Rook. Cosmetic only.
  • 1 Mage armor set appearance for Rook. Cosmetic only.
  • 1 Rogue armor set appearance for Rook. Cosmetic only.
  • 7 weapon and 7 armor set appearances for companions. Cosmetic only.

Regardless of which edition you pre-order, players will receive the Blood Dragon armor set for the Warrior, Mage, and Rogue classes, a throwback to previous Dragon Age games.

Finally, there are new Dragon Age: The Veilguard items available for pre-order on the BioWare Gear Store. These include the art book that was one of the sources for the leaked release date, as well as Rook's Coffer, which contains a variety of game-themed memorabilia, such as a glowing lyrium dagger.
