NJ Football Preview 2024: Stat Leaders Set to Return This Season

0

High school football is back.

The 2024 season begins on Thursday, August 29, and is expected to be another sensational year across the state.

Although some of the best talent has graduated, there is still a lot more to look out for. There will be quarterbacks throwing the ball all over the field, running backs scoring through strong ground attacks, and receivers ready to go up and make the big catch. On defense, guys want to get to the quarterback and make that big sack or stop a running back with a key tackle.

As part of our preview of the 2024 New Jersey high school football season, NJ.com's football editors dug up last year's stat leaders. We broke the results down into eight categories: passing, rushing, receiving, sacks, tackles, interceptions, kicking and total points.

Scroll down to see the top 150 returning players in each category. Stats are based on information submitted to njschoolsports.com last season, and players are listed at the schools they competed at a year ago.
