Before YouTube removed its dislike feature, there were many videos that went viral for the wrong reasons.

Previously, viewers had two options to react to a video if they wanted to express their opinion about it.

Of course, there is the “Like” button, but if the impression on the viewer is big enough, he or she can also choose to dislike a video.

You only need to have a superficial knowledge of the abyss of horror on the Internet to immediately see why this might not be the best idea.

In an age where trolls—many with AI accounts—populate digital bridges, the possibility of not liking something is a recipe for trouble.

But before the final removal, the announcement of which already generated tens of thousands of dislikes, there were several videos that had the dubious honor of being the most disliked video on YouTube.

So, what is the least liked YouTube video of all time?

And that brings us to the top spot: YouTube Rewind 2018: Everyone controls the rewind.

This was the ninth episode of the YouTube Rewind Series and was shared on the platform's official account.

Several well-known YouTubers as well as well-known celebrities such as Will Smith and Trevor Noah were featured.

But what caused the video to be so panned?

It was criticized for using trends that were considered either outdated or unpopular and for not having rivalries like KSI vs. Logan Paul and PewDiePie vs. T-Series.

And as for the numbers, when YouTube publicly removed the feature, it had amassed a whopping 20,358,000 dislikes. Yikes.
