SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Coleman police have arrested two suspects in connection with a series of burglaries targeting storage units in the city.

According to a social media post from Coleman Police, arrest warrants were issued on August 13 for Shon Smith, 59, and Charity Hord, 48, both of Wingate, Texas. Smith and Hord were arrested by the Runnels County Sheriff's Office and are currently being held in the Runnels County Jail.

Smith is charged with four counts of burglary of a building and one count of attempted burglary of a coin-operated machine. He is being held on $32,000 bail on the charges in Coleman County and faces additional bail on similar offenses in Runnels County.

Hord is charged with three counts of burglary of a building and one count of attempted burglary of a coin-operated machine. Her bail for the Coleman County offenses is $24,500.

Authorities have recovered several items from the storage units identified by the victims. They have also recovered additional items believed to have been stolen from the units where the thefts were not reported.

Police are asking anyone who suspects their storage unit has been broken into but has not yet reported it to contact (325)-625-4114 as soon as possible. Coleman PD stressed that there is a significant likelihood that reported stolen property belongs to victims who have not been reported.
