Delaware State Police investigate Ellendale shooting; one man injured – WGMD

Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of ​​New Hope Road in Ellendale last night that left a man injured. According to DSP, officers responded to a shooting on New Hope Road in Ellendale around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police learned someone fired multiple shots from an unknown dark-colored vehicle. The vehicle fled in an unknown direction. Officers found numerous shell casings at the scene. During the investigation, officers received a report of a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg at a nearby hospital. The victim was transported to the hospital via private vehicle. He was treated and released. No information on the suspect is available at this time. Surveillance video and images are not yet available.
