As fall approaches, nothing heralds the season better than a new pair of jeans. They set the tone for your wardrobe.

Denim is the ultimate all-rounder – if you're not sure what to wear, go for it! It looks great with any top!

Surprisingly, skinny jeans, once considered passé, are making a major comeback this fall. This resurgence is being fueled in part by the revival of Indie Sleazea trend characterized by hot dance floors, low-slung skinny jeans, polo shirts, ballet flats, and edgy indie rock. The term was coined in 2021 and captures the raw, vibrant, and uncompromising vibe of a music and fashion scene that first emerged in the early '90s.

Today, indie sleaze is fueled by Tumblr nostalgia and led by party anthems from artists like Charli XCX. brat.

Searches for skinny jeans on Depop have increased by 74% in the last year, cementing their place in the current fashion cycle. Additionally, fashion tech account (which has Vogue's seal of approval) Data, but make it fashion conducted an analysis of over 1200 posts that referenced skinny jeans in the last year. Skinny jeans are likely to make a comeback, as they not only rose in popularity last fall, but have already increased in popularity by 23% in the last month.

The skinny jean has always been a polarizing piece of clothing, swinging in and out of fashion. You either love them or you really hate them. From the Miu Miu runways in Milan to the closets of style icons like Bella Hadid, it's clear that this tight-fitting style is making a comeback – but with a modern twist.

Never underestimate the impact of denim on denim, whether you're wearing flared jeans or a sleek pair of skinny jeans. Opt for a clean, slim cut and pair it with a matching denim top or jacket. If you're feeling fancy, you can add a trench coat for a touch of sophistication. The goal is to keep the look sleek and effortlessly chic.

If your skinny jeans are too long and create unsightly creases at the hem, choose ones that end above the ankle instead. Pair them with socks and loafers for a smart look. This style adds 11 inches to the leg opening and avoids that sticky feeling around the ankles.

Capri, anyone?

Capri pants are trending this summer and are considered a twist on the skinny jeans revival. Slim-fit denim capris will make a comeback next season. Although they are more of a summer trend, they are worth keeping in mind for a not-so-chill autumn.
