Summary of episode 6 of “The Elusive Samurai”

Episode 6, titled “Steal the Imperial Command from Ogasawara’s Residence at Night,” continued the thrilling escape of Tokiyuki and Genba from the camp of Sadamune Ogasawara and Sakefusa Ichikawa.

The duo had managed to steal the Imperial Order, a document that would have forced Yorishige Suwa and his clan to leave Sawa Province. The Imperial Order is a direct order from Takauji Ashikaga, the man behind the rebellion against the Hojo clan and the destruction of Kamakura.

However, Sakefusa's exceptional hearing soon led him to Tokiyuki and Genba. Genba's impulsive attempt to escape almost cost her her life in the chaos that followed, but Tokiyuki's quick intervention saved the situation.

Genba used a clever trick to cut Sadamune's bowstring as the pursuers approached, distracting Sakefusa long enough for Tokiyuki to escape.

Unbeknownst to their enemies, Genba and Tokiyuki had already set fire to the Imperial Command warehouse, effectively thwarting their opponents' plans to conquer Sawa Province.

Meanwhile, the capital was flooded with false requests, preventing Sakefusa and Sadamune from gaining new imperial command. This development secured Sawa Province a haven for Yorishige and Tokiyuki.

After Tokiyuki's return, Yorishige emphasized the formidable nature of their ultimate opponent, Takauji Ashikaga. Known as one of the greatest swordsmen in the country and beloved by his followers, Ashikaga posed a significant threat.

Nevertheless, Tokiyuki remained confident that he would succeed in reclaiming his homeland, strengthened by the loyalty of his newfound allies.
