Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, this game is the seventh installment in the Black Ops sub-series and the 21st overall in the Call of Duty Franchise. The release date for Black Ops 6 is for October 25, 2024as announced during the Xbox Games Showcase.

Black Ops 6 Modes and Key Features

Black Ops 6 follows the story of Black Ops Cold War and transports players to the early 1990s. This period, marked by the collapse of the Soviet Union and the beginning of the Gulf War, sets the stage for a gripping espionage thriller. The following game description provides further insight into the gripping campaign storyline.

“As the Gulf War grips the world's attention, a secret force has infiltrated the highest ranks of the CIA and brands all who oppose it as traitors. Black ops veteran Frank Woods and his team have been cast out by their agency and the country that once celebrated them as heroes, and are now hunted by the military machine that created them.”

Black Ops 6 Multiplayer

Get ready for fierce combat on 16 new maps, including 12 6v6 core maps and four “Strike” maps. Strike maps are smaller and designed for 2v2 or intense 6v6 skirmishes.

Black Ops 6 introduces a groundbreaking system called Omnimovement, which allows players to sprint, slide, and dive in any direction, be it forward, sideways, or backward.

According to the developers, this system allows players to “seamlessly chain together combat maneuvers such as slides, dives, and an enhanced supine position with a full 360-degree range of motion.”

To improve accessibility and gameplay flow, the game features Intelligent Movement. This configurable feature automates actions like sprinting, running around, and crouching, eliminating the need to press multiple buttons.

The popular Call of Duty Prestige system returns in BO6. As you level up, you can reset your progress to unlock new Prestige levels with exclusive rewards, keeping the grind exciting.

Additionally, BO6 features extensive HUD customization, immersive audio and visual effects, new operators, and new and returning weapons, equipment, and perks.

Black Ops 6 Zombies

The turn-based Zombies mode returns in BO6, focusing on the survival gameplay that fans loved in previous titles.

The launch includes two maps, Liberty Falls and Terminus, packed with powerful weapons, power-ups and classic Easter eggs for dedicated zombie hunters to discover.

In particular, the movement mechanics, stunning graphics, impressive audio design and diverse weapon arsenal introduced in multiplayer mode will also be available in Zombies mode.
